Globe Subscribers Worst Nightmare

Last week, I just experienced something really weird when my cousin called me through my cellphone. Initial call was just normal. My phone rings and I was able to talk to my cousin for a good 5 minutes. And then we were suddenly cut off. (Both my cousin and I are Globe subscribers by the way. )

So my phone started to ring again, expecting that my cousin is calling me up to continue our little chit chat. I started, "Hello kuya, anyare?". But the voice I heard from the other line was not him. I checked my phone to see if the number registered is still my cousin's. And it still is.

I kept asking the caller "Sino 'to?" and keep saying "Hello" just in case he was able to hear me. But he can't seem to hear me. He kept talking and talking. I stayed in the line for a while to know what was going on. The person on the other line seemed to be talking to someone else. Not to someone with him. He seemed to be talking to someone on the phone as well. ANO 'TO, PARTYLINE?

I listened a little more. I was not able to hear the voice of the person he is talking to. Based from what I was hearing, he was talking to his girlfriend. So it's like, I am hearing what his girlfriend was hearing but both of them can't hear me.

I hope you are able to understand my story telling. So moving on, I started to text my cousin to tell him I'll call his landline number instead. However, I am still having issues calling his landline using my moblie phone. So I opted to call him landline to landline. I told him of what happened and he also said that the same thing happened to him. And we started to worry because this is invading other peoples private conversations. What if someone can also listen to our calls as well? What if I am talking to my family giving sensitive personal information and someone else is listening to our conversation? What if?

Is it time to change my phone carrier?

Won a GC for a Free 3D/2N Accommodation in Crown Regency?

so apparently this scheme has been going on for quite some year now...Just got a call again.. this is for the 2nd time already... And I know where they got my number.

Back in 2011, my mom got mobbed in duty free to fill out a raffle coupon to win free hotel accommodations. She filled it out and entered my cell# as contact no. So a few month passed, they called looking for my mom and said she won  a free hotel accomm. Since my mom already went back to the states, they said I could claim it. To claim the reward, I just need to go to A. Venue hotel and watch a presentation. I never went.

Now, 2013, they called again looking for my mother saying that they got my contact from a guest referral. Of course I asked from who? They didn't say. Then I remembered.... and I realized that this is a scam that is the same as before.

The caller introduced herself as Janine Antonio (apologies if someone has the same name) from Club Ultima. She was initially looking for my Mom. So I told her where my mom is and who I was and then she started looking for some other "adult" in the house. Then she asked me for my profession and salary bracket (of course i bluffed about it). I can feel she doesn't want to talk to me. Before she hang up, I got her name and the company she represents.

After that call, I Google-ed  "Club Ultima guest referral crown regency".  Well lo and behold, there was a blog that tells the same story as I did except that the blogger went to check the presentation. Thanks to that blogger I am able to confirm my doubt about that scheme. Also the comments section from that blog also helped a lot! Thanks!

There things that are true though: 1) Club Ultima seems to be a legit website and Crown Regency is a legit company.

Blitz can't connect on Facebook in my iPod

I started playing Bejeweled Blitz in my iPod last month and I am experiencing issue that's affecting my gameplay. The game always hangs right in the middle of the game like the ipod can't process blazing speed.
I uninstalled blitz an that's when it got worse. I can't connect my blitz with my facebook account. I keep pressing Connect to fb button but i just get the same error message: "This request can't be claimed yet on the mobile version...".

I got frustrated uninstalling blitz then installing it on my iPod so i just stopped doing anything about it. I started reading popcap forums but i couldn't find any solutions. I really got pissed out so left my app be.

Then last night i was so bored I got to fiddle around with my iPod. Once again I tried to fix my blitz. I fixed it!

I'm not sure if it will work for everyone but i would just like to share how I fixed mine. I will list down the step by step on how I did it. You may find some step unnecessary but this is how i fixed it. So this is what I did:
1. Uninstalled facebook on my iPod
2. Closed all running apps in my iPod
3. Restarted my iPod
4. Opened my facebook account on my laptop.
5. Removed/deleted my bejeweled blitz app on facebook (on my laptop)
6. On my iPod, I opened Blitz
7. Instead of clicking the connect to FB button, i clicked the arrow pointing down. The one that shows the setting of blitz.
8. I clicked the button that says LOG IN

By following the steps above, i was able to connect to my blitz with my fb account!
